It consists of equal parts of three dried ingredients: amla fruit (Embelica officinalis), bibhitaki fruit (Terminalia belerica), and haritaki fruit (Terminalia chebula). High in antioxidants, triphala contains polyphenols and flavonoids and is often used as a general health tonic. It is used in Blue Heron™ because it is considered a gentle, non-habit forming laxative.†
