  • A. True Dispersion™ Technology fiber ensures that the psyllium, other ingredients such as oat bran, guar gum, and pectin, are completely released and dispersed for thorough colon cleansing.* Encapsulated fiber supplements have limited surface area in which to trap and bind products of detoxification. Because True Dispersion Technology fiber completely disperses, it is both comfortable and provides superior surface area to bind toxins for elimination.*

  • A. Yes, an individual may take other fiber supplements with Blue Heron™ if necessary. When taking a large amount of fiber, it is essential to make sure to also drink plenty of liquids.

  • A. Yes, Blue Heron™ is safe to take every day. In general herbal references, no cautions were found regarding long-term use of the key ingredients. However, some references, including the Alternative Medicine Encyclopedia, did suggest taking a 2-3 week break from triphala, one of the ingredients, after 10 weeks of use to give the body a rest. This is a general recommendation that is suggested by naturopathic physicians for many herbal preparations.

  • A. Triphala is an herbal blend most common in Ayurvedic medicine, a traditional system of medicine that has been practiced in India for over 3,000 years. It consists of equal parts of three dried ingredients: amla fruit (Embelica officinalis), bibhitaki fruit (Terminalia belerica), and haritaki fruit (Terminalia chebula). High in antioxidants, triphala contains polyphenols and flavonoids and is often used as a general health tonic. It is used in Blue Heron™ because it is considered a gentle, non-habit forming laxative.†

  • A. Blue Heron™ contains a combination of all-natural fibers, herbs, and probiotics to absorb and eliminate toxins, and improve colon function.* It contains a small amount, 60 mg of Spectra Probiotic Proprietary Blend per serving (6 capsules).
